Job Summary:
The Ukrainian Students Union is seeking a dynamic and experienced Careers Manager to lead the development and execution of internship tracks, mentoring schemes, and workshops aimed at enhancing the professional growth and employability of our Ukrainian students. The ideal candidate will be passionate about empowering students to achieve their career goals and possess strong organizational, communication, and networking skills.
Responsibilities:
1. Internship Program Development:
• Research and establish partnerships with local and international organizations to create diverse and impactful internship opportunities for Ukrainian students.
• Design and implement structured internship tracks that align with various academic disciplines and industries.
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders and the executive team to ensure implementation of the internship programs.
2. Mentoring Scheme Implementation:
• Develop and oversee a comprehensive mentoring program that pairs students with industry professionals, offering guidance, support, and career insights.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the mentoring program, making necessary adjustments for continuous improvement.
3. Workshop and Event Coordination:
• Conceptualize and organize career-oriented workshops, seminars, and events to equip students with essential skills, knowledge, and networking opportunities.
• Collaborate with experts and professionals to deliver engaging workshops covering topics such as resume building, interview techniques, networking strategies, and career exploration.
• Maintain communication and engage with USU alumni and involve them in USU activities.
Requirements:
• Current Ukrainian student or recent graduate between 18-28 years of age.
• Regularly attend team meetings and meetings with stakeholders and trustees.
• Strong understanding of trending career pathways amongst our members and employer expectations.
• Exceptional communication with high profile stakeholders and strong interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.• Having good networking skills is an advantage.
• Passion for empowering students and helping them succeed in their careers.
• Fluency in English and Ukrainian (written and spoken)
