Application process:
Since the Chairperson represents the organization for a year, the standards and expectations are high. The election cycle involves motivational statement and outlining plans for a year. These will then be discussed with the USU team to confirm candidate’s commitment to empowering our student body and their personal integrity. Prospective candidates, who have shown their dedication and prior positive track record, will then be presented to the presidents to choose from. While the team takes part in the screening process, only the presidents have the FINAL say in the appointment of the Chairperson by casting 2/3 of votes in favour of a candidate. Successful candidate will, thus, be notified only after the Presidential Council Meeting is concluded.
