Internship

USU: Global Talent in PACE

The Ukrainian Students Union (USU) invites applications for its PACE Internship Programme, scheduled to take place remotely from 6–31 January. This initiative aims to select, train, and empower the next generation of Ukrainian leaders to take on critical roles in Ukraine’s political landscape, public service, and beyond. The internship will be held under the supervision of the PACE Migration Committee Chairman, providing an opportunity to gain firsthand insights into European public policy and the operations of the Parliamentary Assembly. The programme enjoys support from the Verkhovna Rada and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

Duties include conducting research, organising meetings, supporting legislative projects, and contributing to key initiatives.

A successful candidate would fit these criteria:

  • A deep interest in Ukrainian and European politics, international relations, and Ukraine’s engagement with EU institutions and member states.
  • Proficiency in Ukrainian and English; knowledge of French or another European language is an asset.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential and a commitment to promoting positive change through public policy and democratic values in Ukraine.
  • Excellent research, writing, and communication abilities.
  • Active participation in the political life of Ukraine, through practical or academic means.
  • A willingness to contribute to the ongoing success of the USU Global Talent Program.

Application Considerations:

  • Transparency: The USU is committed to a transparent selection process with the cooperation of PACE offices and an external selection panel.
  • Diversity and Inclusion: The programme supports gender balance and encourages applications from all qualified individuals, in accordance with Ukrainian legislative requirements.
  • Data Privacy: By submitting this application, you consent to the USU collecting and sharing your personal information with relevant stakeholders.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and under 29 years old at the beginning of the internship. Ukrainian citizens, nationals, or lawful residents in Ukraine are eligible to apply.
