University Of Aberdeen

About us

We are a society that unites Ukrainian students in Aberdeen and those interested in the Ukrainian culture and history, founded on February 22, 2022. We aim to spread  information about Ukraine as a state and Ukrainians, our culture and traditions; call out narratives of russian propaganda  and disinformation; and sharing information about war crimes in Ukraine. Our main activities are workshops of making Ukrainian traditional dishes, movie nights, interactive quizzes, and academic events.

The University recognises that prospective students affected by the conflict may not be able to evidence their qualifications by normal means. The University may consider a wider range of evidence where this is the case. Prospective students who may require this support should contact study@abdn.ac.uk for more information.

Ukrainians residents in Scotland on one of the Ukraine-related visa schemes will normally be classified as Home for the purpose of tuition fees. Those classified as Home students can apply to the Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS) for support with tuition fees and living costs. More information on Ukraine-specific support at University of Aberdeen can be found here, with further queries please do not hesitate to contact Michaela Cameron, International Officer for Ukraine: michaela.cameron@abdn.ac.uk
