The Ukrainian Society at the University of Reading was set up by 6 students this year.The society is RUSU affiliated and will begin advertisement and member admissions in the coming academic year. The organisation's main aim is to raise awareness among foreigners of our country's historical and cultural background. Additionally, the Society supports its Ukrainian members, who have just moved to an unfamiliar environment and struggle to socialize. During the upcoming academic year, the society plans to organise a wide range of social events, including cultural workshops, charity evenings, movie nights and various other activities.

The University of Reading provides 12 scholarships to eligible sanctuary seekers every year. Ukrainian applicants are eligible if they meet the criteria of the Ukraine Family Scheme or the Ukraine Sponsorship (Homes for Ukraine) scheme. The university provides substantial support to Ukrainian students, ensuring they have the necessary resources to excel academically and socially.
